Keeping the adorable appearance of the original Hiyoko series as it is, Kuri Hiyoko, made with carefully selected ingredients, will become available as a limited season offer.
The chestnut paste filling, made only with carefully selected Japanese chestnuts from Kumamoto, is cooked with care for deep and rich flavor. Finished with special Wasanbonto sugar from Kagawa Prefecture, the sweet is given sophisticated sweetness and melting texture.

The dough to make the wrapping bun of Hiyoko is made with flour from Kyushu and baked for rich savory flavor, so it can be combined perfectly with chestnut paste filling.

Kumamoto is Japan’s second largest producer of chestnuts, which are especially noted for the great quality.
Chestnuts from Kumamoto make a great ingredient for all kinds of sweets and are much sought after by many sweets shops around the country.
Chestnut is widely favored as a seasonal flavor of autumn in Japan. Sung in ancient poems and in many other ways, the fruit has long been an important part of Japanese culture.
